The Crown of Thorns

The Crown of Thorns is a veneered oak coffin, designed to provide a traditional and meaningful presentation inspired by one of the most significant symbols of Christian faith. Featuring intricately carved Crown of Thorns panel sides, it offers a distinctive tribute that reflects sacrifice, devotion and remembrance, making it particularly suited to Christian and Catholic funeral services.

Finished with large solid oak double mouldings, a substantial double raised lid and a rich stained finish, The Crown of Thorns combines religious symbolism with exceptional craftsmanship and timeless styling. The detailed carved panels add depth, character and visual significance to the design, while the stained oak finish enhances its warm, dignified and distinguished appearance.

Suitable for both burial and cremation, The Crown of Thorns is manufactured to a high standard and can be supplied with a range of handles, fittings and interior options to suit individual requirements and service preferences.

We can only praise the service we have always received by J C Walwyn. We have ordered bespoke coffins and chosen from the brochure too. When we order a bespoke coffin they keep in touch, giving us an update and putting our minds at rest that delivery will be on time. We have even received photos of the products as they were made too. We missed out on the Easter eggs, but the service and products are egg-cellent! Thank you from the team at Arwyn Hughes Funeral Director.

What a lovely family run company, Steve and his team are always happy to help, and at short notice too. Their products are of very high quality, I wouldn't use anyone else and we highly recommend them.

Excellent service. Walwyn's have always been a brilliant company but especially with providing their products at this difficult time. We couldn't ask for a better supplier.

Only just switched to Walwyn after bad service from a rival company, must say my first order came in and very happy, Steve and his team are very helpful, that's what I call good customer service.

We have worked with J C Walwyn & Sons for a couple of months now and we cannot recommend their services enough. The quality of their products are excellent and their customer service is outstanding! Thank you!!
